RAINFALL ALERT: Yellow alert in parts of Batangas, Cavite, Zambales (Sunday, 11 a.m.)

A yellow rainfall warning alert was issued over parts of Batangas, Cavite, and Zambales on Sunday morning, September 6, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

As of 11 a.m., the rains brought by the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat is expected to cause flooding in flood-prone areas in the said areas.

The yellow warning is effective over the following areas in the said provinces:

Batangas

• Calatagan
• Lian
• Balayan
• Nasugbu
• Tuy
• Calaca
• Lemery
• Laurel
• Talisay
• Tanauan
• Taal
• San Luis
• San Nicolas
• Agoncillo
• Santa Teresita
• Mataasnakahoy
• Malvar
• Balete

Cavite

• Magallanes
• Alfonso
• Tagaytay

Zambales

• Santa Cruz
• Candelaria
• Masinloc
• Palauig
• Iba
• Botolan
• Cabangan

Meanwhile, expect light to moderate with occasional heavy rains over Nueva Ecija and Metro Manila within the next three hours, PAGASA said.

Currently, light to moderate with occasional heavy rains are affecting the areas listed below. The rains may persist within three hours and may affect nearby areas.
