Habagat to bring rains over Luzon, Visayas on Monday — PAGASA

The Southwest Monsoon, or Habagat, is expected to bring rains over parts of Luzon and Visayas on September 7, 2026, the state weather bureau PAGASA said Sunday.

In its 4 p.m. bulletin, PAGASA said the Habagat is expected to bring occasional rains over Zambales, Bataan, Batangas and Occidental Mindoro.

Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected over Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region, Central Luzon, the rest of CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Abra, Benguet and Antique.

Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are forecast over the rest of Luzon and Visayas.

In Mindanao, localized thunderstorms are expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

As of 3 p.m., Tropical Storm Krovanh (formerly Pilandok) was estimated at 1,035 kilometers northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon.

Krovanh was moving eastward at 10 kilometers per hour, with maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters are expected over Northern Luzon, with waves ranging from 1.5 to 2.8 meters.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters are forecast over the rest of the country, with waves ranging from 0.6 to 2.1 meters.

At the PAGASA Science Garden weather station in Diliman, Quezon City, the highest temperature recorded on Sunday was 30.0 degrees Celsius at 3 p.m., while the lowest was 25.3 degrees Celsius at 7 a.m.
