Garrett Bolden's "Our Love," included in Spotify's Fresh Finds Philippines playlist
Kapuso Soul Balladeer Garrett Bolden’s new year is off to a great start with the release of his first original composition “Our Love.”
Garrett Bolden’s new and first self-penned single, “Our Love” makes it to Spotify’s playlist, Fresh Finds Philippines.
While quarantining alone in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, Garrett was able to translate his emotions and thoughts into a song. The GMA Music artist and The Clash finalist was able to compose his first original, inspired by his love for his deceased father.
Garrett launched his latest single under GMA Music on Monday, January 11, and it easily grabbed the number one spot of the iTunesPH music charts on the same day. And just a few days later, the Kapuso Soul Balladeer found his music among Spotify’s roster of Fresh Finds in the Philippines.
He shared the good news on his Instagram account and thanked his supporters.
He said, “Our Love makes it on Spotify's Fresh Finds Philippines Playlist. Thank you Kapuso.”
If this is any indication, this feat is just Garrett’s first step to achieving more commendable milestones in his singing career.
During his virtual media conference, he revealed his wish for greater commercial success to be able to touch more listeners through his performance and music.
He said, “Since one of my goals as a singer is I really want to reach out to a lot of people, to share my music sa mas maraming tao po, siguro ‘yung commercial side po [ang aim ko]. I wanted to parang cater [to] more people. Parang in general I want everyone to know who Garrett is through my music po.”
