During an interview with GMANetwork.com, Kelvin shared the story behind the song.
"Hindi lang siya for a special someone, for friends, family, and sa mga importanteng tao sa buhay. Actually, lahat pwedeng maka-relate sa song na 'Slow Dance.'
Kelvin also said he wants to dedicate the song to all his fans who he hasn't interacted with in person for a while due to the pandemic.
"Nami-miss ko sila. Para sa kanila itong kantang ito. Wala man ako sa kanila lagi, alam nila kung gaano ko sila ka-mahal. Inaalay ko itong song na ito para sa kanila."
