A newly erected skywalk in Mandaue City has opened to public use.
The new skywalk in Sitio Sudlon, Barangay Maguikay was inaugurated on March 12, 2025.
The skywalk replaces an old skywalk demolished on March 29, 2023.
A blessing and turnover to the barangay was also carried out.
The old skywalk was torn down after a refrigerated van rammed into it.
The impact destroyed reportedly the structure's beam that compromised public safety. '
The office of the Lone Congressional District of Mandaue City allocated P20 million for the construction of the new skywalk.
