Starting 4 a.m. on July 1, 2025, a portion of Rizal Avenue in Mangaldan, Pangasinan will be closed temporarily to give way to the inauguration ceremony of newly elected officials.

The program will take place in front of the Presidencia de Mangaldan and is expected to draw a large crowd, including local officials, Department of Education representatives, barangay leaders, and private sector members.

“Lahat ng officials dadalo, pati sa DepEd, barangay, at maging sa mga private organization. Kaya marami talagang pupunta, kaya need na isara ang Rizal Avenue,” PCapt. Vicente Abrazaldo, duty officer of the Mangaldan Police Station, said.

Authorities are advising motorists to take alternate routes. Vehicles coming from San Fabian and heading toward Dagupan City are encouraged to use P. De Guzman Street, Presto Street, and Cortez Street.

“Marami naman tayong lugar na puwede natin silang i-divert,” Abrazaldo added.

Motorists say they are willing to cooperate with the temporary changes.

“Susunod po tayo sa order nila. Ikot-ikot na lang kami dito,” Bernard Paloma, a driver, said.

As of afternoon on Monday, June 30, 2025, moderate to heavy traffic was already expected in the area as the local government began preparations for the event.

The Public Order and Safety Office (POSO) and the police are on standby to manage traffic flow and ensure public safety.
