At least eight driving schools in Panay Island have been suspended for allegedly issuing practical driving certificates to clients sans actual driving test since October 15, 2025.

In an interview by GMA Super Radyo Iloilo with Atty. Gaudioso Geduspan, regional director of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) 6, he said that the 30-day preventive suspension was issued to eight driving schools for the issuance of practical driving certificates without the mandatory actual driving test.

Geduspan said that the preventive suspension will hinder any obstruction to the investigation. 

Most of the driving schools are operating in Iloilo City. 

Should investigation render that the driving schools are engaged in anomalous operation, LTO 6 will impose immediately the revocation of their accreditation.
