For the first time, a replica of the image of the Black Nazarene visited the town of Calasiao, Pangasinan.

Devotees waited for the arrival of the image at the Saints Peter and Paul Parish Church. The image was taken initially to the Saint Joseph of Nazareth Parish Church in Barangay Bued before it was brought to the Saints Peter and Paul Parish Church.

"Importante ito para magising ‘yung debosyon ng mga deboto," Rev. Fr. Allen Romero, the parish priest of Saints Peter and Paul Parish Church, said.

The replica's journey allowed devotees, including Antionia Soriano and Andrea Agustino, both from San Carlos City, to offer prayers to the Black Nazarene.

Despite their age, they chose to visit the church in person.

"Masaya kami na makapagdasal kami," Soriano said.

"Panalangin namin na malakas ang katawan, malayo sa disgrasya, mapatawad ang aming kasalanan," Agustino added.

The image will stay in Calasiao until February 10, 2024.

On February 9, four Masses will be celebrated, which will be followed by the 'pahalik.'

On its last day, a morning Mass will be celebrated, and in the afternoon, the replica will be returned to Quiapo.
