In a tribute to the late Supreme Pontiff, Pope Francis, the Parish of Saint Thomas of Villanova in Alimodian town, Province of Iloilo has created a solemn display of memorabilia at one of its side altars — "honoring a shepherd whose life radiated humility, compassion, and radical love."

In a post, the parish social communication team said that the curated exhibit features "personal items from parishioners who were deeply touched by the Pope’s papacy."

Among the items are a rosary sent personally by Pope Francis to a local parishioner, certificates of papal blessings, and a collection of magazines chronicling his life — from his simple beginnings in Argentina to his years as the Bishop of Rome.

"This unique and moving display not only honors Pope Francis' legacy, but also serves as a space for reflection on the values he lived by: simplicity, mercy, and service to the poor," the post added.

"The parish invites the faithful to visit the church during select hours to offer prayers for the eternal repose of Pope Francis’ soul and to view the memorabilia. Candles and floral offerings are welcome, as personal expressions of gratitude and reverence," the post further said.

The public display will be available until April 27, 2025.

"Through this tangible remembrance, may we be reminded not only of Pope Francis’ profound witness to the Gospel, but also of our shared mission to live it out with the same courage, love, and joy," Saint Thomas of Villanova Parish also said.
