A couple in Sta. Marcela used a wooden cart instead of a traditional bridal car to cut costs amid rising fuel prices.
Giovanni Zuñiga and Melody Baquiran rode a locally known “pasagad” to travel to the church and back home for their wedding reception.
The cart, made of wood and decorated with flowers, drew attention from residents who admired the couple’s simple and creative approach.
The bride and groom said the decision was a practical way to save money during the ongoing economic strain.
