Three people were killed in separate police operations in Davao City.

A drug suspect identified as alias “Lupin” was killed after he allegedly fought back against the authorities during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bato, Toril.

Police said the suspect opened fire upon sensing the presence of the operatives, prompting the authorities to retaliate. The suspect was taken to the hospital but was declared dead upon arrival.

Seized from his possession were sachets of suspected shabu and a caliber .38 revolver.

In Barangay Buhangin, an alleged thief identified as alias “Radsoy” was killed in an armed confrontation.

Authorities received a report that a man was reportedly stealing something at a construction site, prompting the operating team to respond.

The suspect was killed after he allegedly resisted arrest and fought back against the operatives. A caliber .38 revolver and bullets were recovered from him.

Meanwhile, a farmer reported to have been carrying a firearm was killed when he allegedly fought back against the authorities.

Confiscated from him was the caliber .38 revolver he used during the armed confrontation.

Newly-installed director of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), Colonel Richard Bad-ang, said the operating units were forced to use their guns to defend themselves against the suspects who fought back during the operations.
