A “banakon” or Philippine cobra slithered inside a shanty in Sitio Pondol, Barangay San Agustin, Sagbayan town, Bohol that alarmed residents.

The incident happened at around 7 a.m. on March 27, 2024.

A video taken by Jhayr Gambe Otar showed a resident referred to as alias “Siklo” who proved to be proficient at handling the venomous snake. 

Alias “Siklo” tied an adhesive around the snake’s snout before he placed it in a sack.

The cobra is estimated to have the length of two outstretched arms or around 12 feet and weighs about four kilos. 

The snake was handed over to the authorities in Sagbayan town at around 10 a.m.
