Three robbers intruded a house owned by a policeman in Barangay Pajac, Lapu-Lapu City and carted three cellphones and cash worth around P30,000.

One of three suspects served reportedly as a lookout. The other two went inside the house through the comfort room by removing the glass panes of a jalousie window. But a member of the family heard of the unusual noise and shouted to alarm the household.

The policeman chased and arrested one of the suspects, a 16-year-old boy.

Two of the three cellphones were recovered but not the money which was saved up reportedly for the wedding of the cop and his common-law partner by yearend.

Robbery charges were filed against the minor on April 15, 2024.

According to the investigation of the Lapu-Lapu City Police, the suspects are part of a group of persons who hail from the neighboring province of Bohol but are renting spaces in Barangays Pajac and Bankal.

The group communicated through a virtual chat application.

Aside from intruding houses, the group is reportedly involved in stealing motorcycles.
