A man in Tikalaan, Bukidnon was placed under arrest after he allegedly stabbed his one-year-old daughter to death.
The child sustained two fatal stab wounds. She did not reach the hospital alive.
Police said the suspect also tried to take his own life by stabbing himself in the stomach and throat.
Prior to the incident, the suspect and the baby’s mother had a fight, prompting the mother to leave the father and child.
Operatives recovered the 15-inch bolo the suspect allegedly used. The man is under hospital arrest, as of this writing.
