A man in Angeles City, Pampanga was arrested for allegedly stabbing his brother and the latter’s live-in partner to death.
Based on investigation, the brothers figured in a heated argument, which resulted in the stabbing.
The argument reportedly stemmed from a family problem, the police said, quoting the suspect’s father.
“Base sa investigation na we’ve conducted, na-engage sila sa heated argument wherein tinanong po namin kung ano ang ugat ng hindi nila pagkakaunawaan… ang sinabi lang po, especially ‘yung father ng suspect, ay family problem,” said PMaj. Dexter Ebbat, Station Commander of Angeles City Station 5.
Authorities found the victims already dead. The suspect reportedly used a kitchen knife to stab them.
The police found that the suspect was arrested in the past for alleged involvement in illegal drugs.
The suspect is facing charges for homicide, which the victims’ families are bent on filing against him.
The police urged the public to try to always consider civilized conversation in resolving conflict.
“Panawagan po natin sa publiko, maging mahinahon sa lahat ng oras. Kung ano man pong problema, dapat pag-usapan sa magandang paraaan para maiwasan ang hindi po magandang pangyayari,” Ebbat said.
