No more long lines or guesswork. Voters can now check their registration status with just a few clicks, thanks to the reactivated Precinct Finder platform of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC).
Romeo Agacita, a 67-year-old resident of Dagupan City, visited the COMELEC office in the city on April 24 to verify his voter record.
Staff also showed him how to use the online tool, which lets voters access their precinct information quickly.
“Maganda. Mabilis. Hindi tulad noon, mahirap. Okay ngayon, walang problema,” Agacita said.
To use the Precinct Finder, voters simply need to go to https://precinctfinder.comelec.gov.ph and enter their full name, birthdate, and place of registration.
The system then displays their precinct number and voting status.
The tool also warns voters if their status is “deactivated” — usually for failing to vote in two consecutive elections.
“Ang purpose nito, maging accessible yung platform sa lahat para makita kung ano ang status ng kanilang registration record,” Atty. Michael Franks Sarmiento, Election Officer of Dagupan City, said.
COMELEC assured voters that the system is now more secure, especially after its database was hacked in 2016.
“Secure na secure naman po yung data na nakalagay sa Precinct Finder,” Sarmiento said.
Dagupan has 144,481 registered voters for the 2025 polls — over 6,000 more than the number recorded in the 2022 national elections.
Most of these voters are between 18 and 30 years old.
Meanwhile, COMELEC is wrapping up briefings for DESOs, Electoral Board members, and poll technicians who will serve on election day.
