Vice President Sara Duterte visited Cebu for a solidarity rally organized by pro-Duterte groups.

The Vice President arrived afternoon on Sunday, April 27, 2025 in the City of Carcar, south Cebu Province. She was welcomed by organizers and participants of a solidarity rally to demonstrate support to former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte (FPRRD).

In a brief program, the Vice President relayed FPRRD’s message of thanks to all pro-Duterte groups and individuals for their staunch support.

She also questioned the Marcos administration's motive in the rollout of P20-per-kilogram rice program, especially its timing weeks to the elections, and the select places for the implementation.

According to the Department of Agriculture (DA), the implementation of the program will begin on the last week of April 2025, with the Visayas for a pilot area.

She further expressed worry over the “machinery that the elections will utilize.”

The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has not issued a statement yet on the Vice President’s concern.

Meanwhile, she disclosed the findings released by the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations that she is among two senators and former officials of the Philippine National Police (PNP) set to be arrested by the International Criminal Court (ICC).

On April 27, 2025, the chairperson of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations released the results of the investigation on the transport of FPRRD to The Hague, The Netherlands.

According to Senator Imee Marcos, there was connivance among government officials in taking FPRRD to The Hague.

The senator recommended to the Ombudsman an investigation on the government officials involved.

The officials involved have not released a statement yet on the findings, as of this writing.

The Vice President proceeded to other cities in Cebu immediately after her visit in Carcar City.
