An express lane and additional seats are prepared for senior citizens, persons with disability, and pregnant persons at the polling center in Concepcion Elementary School in Talisay City, Province of Negros Occidental.
As of posting time, classrooms and teachers are fully ready for the National and Local Elections (NLE) on Monday, May 12, 2025.
“So far, ready na ang mga teachers. Sila rin ang nag-serve noong previous elections,” Kristin Villaruz, a teacher at Concepcion Elementary School, said.
The Department of Education (DepEd) Negros Occidental has reminded teachers once more to follow COMELEC guidelines in the performance of their election duties.
“They just have to stick with the guidelines, with the rules na ibinigay ni COMELEC. They have to stick also with the issuances ni DepEd,” according to Ian Arnold Arnaez, spokesperson of DepEd Negros Occidental.
