Authorities have arrested the 31-year-old man who snatched a bag and dragged a 67-year-old woman in San Fernando, Pampanga.
Earlier on May 24, 2025, the suspect was seen in closed circuit television (CCTV) kicking the victim before grabbing her bag. The incident sparked public outrage due to the suspect’s violent actions.
Police caught the man during a buy-bust operation on Tuesday, June 17, in Barangay Pio, Porac, Pampanga.
Seized from him were 2.3 grams of suspected shabu, a firearm, and marked money.
The suspect admitted to the crime, he said he did it out of desperation.
Police also found that he had a previous arrest in 2024 for illegal gambling.
