Two incidents involving a suspect shooting victims in their own homes in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental left three people dead, including a three-year-old girl. 

The two incidents happened on April 22, 2026. 

In Barangay Nabula, the suspect entered the house of the victims and shot them. The woman, Jonabe, 27, sustained wounds in different parts of her body while the three-year-old child sustained a gunshot wound in the chest.

“Nang gabing iyon, nandiyan lang sila sa bahay. Pinasok sila na isang gunman na may gun firearm at pinagbabaril,” said Lt. Cipriano Lumanog III, Deputy Chief of the Sipalay City Police Station.

The victims reportedly attempted to escape but the suspect just continued to fire his gun.

Other family members were also hurt in the incident, including a certain Benigna, 62; Remy, 46; and a nine-year-old girl.

Meanwhile, in Barangay Manlucahoc, a 53-year-old man identified only as alias Conrado, was also shot dead inside his house .

As of this writing, authorities are yet to identify and arrest the suspect in the two incidents, and determine the motive in the killing.

“As of now, unidentified pa ang suspect. Likewise, to be determined pa ang motive. Iyan pa ang i-dig up (namin). Nag-background check pa kami sa biktima,” Lumanog said.
