Authorities have arrested three people and seized suspected shabu worth around P34 million during a buy-bust operation in Zamboanga City.
Anti-illegal drug operatives carried out the operation at the basement of a commercial establishment in Barangay Zone IV on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
Seized during the operation were five kilos of suspected shabu worth around P34 million and drug packaging materials.
The suspects were taken into police custody and will face charges for alleged violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act (RA 9165).
“Ang PNP ay hindi titigil sa paglaban sa illegal drugs. Gagawin natin ito nang maayos, makatao, at alinsunod sa batas, para sa kaligtasan ng ating mga komunidad,” PNP Chief, General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., said.
