One died while another was injured when a public when a public utility jeepney figured in an accident in Pavia, Iloilo evening on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.
The victims - Reuben, 22, and Jamaica, 24 - were walking by the road in Barangay Cabugao Sur to buy food when the PUJ hit them.
The two were brought to the hospital but Reuben did not make it there alive. Jamaica is recuperating from her injuries.
According to the Pavia Police, the driver of the PUJ, identified as Antonio, suffered from hypertension while driving, which was why he lost control of the vehicle.
The PUJ also hit a motorcycle parked by the road and rammed into a tree.
