A former student allegedly stole more than P1,000 from a teacher's wallet inside an elementary school in Balete, Aklan, with the incident caught on CCTV, police said.
Surveillance footage showed a man crawling out of a classroom at Feliciano Elementary School in Barangay Feliciano shortly after 7 a.m. on Monday, August 3. 2026. The man appeared to look around before leaving the room.
Police said the man is believed to have taken cash from a teacher's wallet while the school was holding its flag ceremony, allowing him to enter unnoticed.
The teacher discovered the missing money only after classes had ended. School officials reviewed the CCTV footage and identified the suspect.

“May naka-identify sa tao. May mga previous rin siya na kaso na involved rin sa pagnanakaw. Waiting na lang kami for filing ng case,” Bulanon said.
