Four people have been reported dead from the combined effects of #LuisPH and #MaymayPH, and the southwest monsoon, while tens of thousands of families have been affected by days of heavy rain and flooding, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
The disaster agency said the reported fatalities are still subject to validation. It also recorded one injured person, whose case is likewise undergoing verification.
More than 38,000 families have been affected by the severe weather, the NDRRMC said.
The government has so far provided more than P2 million in assistance to affected families.
Authorities are continuing to assess the extent of damage to agriculture, infrastructure, and other sectors as weather-related incidents are monitored across affected areas.
