Floodwaters remained in parts of Dagupan City on Thursday, with high tide worsening conditions in several barangays and streets as forecasters warned of more rain later in the day.

Local authorities said the tide level reached more than four feet at around 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2026. PAGASA said localized thunderstorms could still bring rain to parts of Pangasinan.

“Kasi nasa light to moderate rains na lang ang ating aasahan. At ito'y nangyayari pagsapit ng hapon at gabi, ’yan yung bumubulusok yung pag-ulan natin,” PAGASA-Dagupan Station Chief Meteorological Officer, Engr. Jose Estrada Jr., said.

In Barangay Bonuan Gueset, some homes remained flooded. Resident Vicky Coloma said floodwaters entered parts of their house and forced them to raise their belongings onto a table.

“Nasa lamesa lahat kaya walang mga kagamitan. Dati-rati hindi umaabot sa loob, ngayon talagang abot na abot,” Coloma said.

The city's disaster office said all barangays were still experiencing flooding as of its latest report.

Meanwhile, some fishermen have returned to sea after staying ashore for several days because of the southwest monsoon and recent storms.

“Medyo maganda yung huli. Pero noong nakaraan talagang wala kasi malakas yung agos. Buti medyo bumabawi ng konti ngayon,” Jomarie Agustin, a fisherman, said.

Authorities, however, urged fishermen to take extra care as sea conditions remained dangerous, with waves reaching 1.5 to 2 meters high.
