A magnitude 5.2 earthquake struck off the coast of Sarangani, Davao Occidental around 9:14 a.m. on Friday, August 14, 2026.
According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), the quake had a depth of 10 kilometers and was tectonic in origin.
PHIVOLCS added that the tremor was an aftershock of the magnitude 7.8 earthquake off Sarangani and 6.5 earthquake off Davao Occidental.
