‘Wonder Woman’ earns record-making P48M on opening day in PHL

The numbers are in for "Wonder Woman" and yes, she's with us.

The latest addition to the DC Extended Universe earned P48.39 million on opening day — the biggest non-holiday opening of the year, according to  Francis Soliven, General Manager of Warner Bros. Philippines.

"Wonder Woman" attracted 205,041 total admissions from 510 screens nationwide, besting the first-day haul of "Beauty and the Beast" (P47 million).

The film ranks second to "Fast & Furious 8", which opened on Black Saturday, in overall opening day sales.
