UST students pay tribute to teachers in ‘largest human sentence’ record attempt


Over 17,000 students from all the colleges of the University of Santo Tomas on Friday attempted to break the world record for the largest human sentence.

Thomasians took to the UST Open Field and spelled out "My Teacher is My Hero," paying tribute to educator's during National Teachers' Month, which is celebrated in the Philippines from September 5 to October 5.

October 5th is also recognized as World Teachers' Day.

On Sunday, Dean Allan B. de Guzman of the College of Education confirmed that the number of participants reached a total of 17,011 warm bodies.

Guinness World Records currently recognizes the Rotary International District 3000, Rotary Club of Perambalur New Gen, and Roever Group of Educational Institution as the older of the record for largest human sentence.
