'Higante' versions of Duterte, Bato join Kalibo's Ati-Atihan Festival

"Higante" or larger-than-life versions of President Rodrigo Duterte and PNP Chief Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa made an appearance at the Ati-Atihan Festival in Kalibo, Aklan.

The pair's giant paper-maché counterparts were paraded in the streets, accompanied by dancers and other merrymakers.

According to a report aired on "Balitanghali" on Friday, the Duterte giant mascot is striking the president's signature "kamao pose."  

The Dela Rosa giant mascot, on the other hand, is depicted holding a plastic bag as symbol of the police's campaign against drugs.
