Duterte jokes: 'Walang lalaki na hindi kumakaliwa'

President Rodrigo Duterte on Saturday joked that women should accept that men are not monogamous.

Duterte made the comment during his speech at the 50th founding anniversary of Davao del Norte.

He said that there is no man who doesn't engage in extramarital affairs.

"Alam mo sa totoo lang, walang lalaki na hindi kumakaliwa. Tanggapin n'yo 'yan," he said.

The audience laughed at the remark.

Duterte added that his father was such a man.

"Isa doon tatay ko. Tanungin mo yung mga nakaabot sa tatay ko," he said.

Duterte is currently living with his common-law wife, Honeylet Avanceña and their only daughter Veronica.

The president was married to Elizabeth Abellana Zimmerman. They have three children -- Baste, Inday Sara and Paolo. —ALG, GMA News
