Rachel Peters on her Miss Universe bid: 'Without a doubt my greatest achievement to date'


Miss Universe Philippines Rachel Peters may not have won the crown but she still made the whole country proud.

After apologizing for not winning the Miss Universe crown, Peters took to Instagram to say that representing her country was unquestionably the most significant fulfillment of her life.

"Without a doubt my greatest achievement to date!! To be the 66th Filipina to stand on the Miss Universe stage with the most beautiful girls in the world, and to represent the most amazing country- Ang mahal kong Pilipinas!," Peters wrote on Instagram.

She expressed her appreciation to those who have been part of her journey, and said she really did her best.

"Thank you so much to everyone who was part of this journey, i am SO lucky to have every single one of you in my life. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine I would be brave enough to do something like this, but you all are the reason I got to where I am. I'm still so overwhelmed by all the love," she said.

If you're wondering what her plans are after conquering the Miss Universe stage, she said, " First thing on the agenda-Sinigang!!!"

Peters took an early exit at the pageant finishing her stint at the top 10.
