Binibini 35 Sandra Lemonon will build, build, build on her experience — and her answer if she could do it again!

When life gives you lemons, be like Sandra Lemonon!

Although she didn't win a crown, she made her mark as Binibini 35 with an indelible response during the Questions and Answer portion.

Much like a tall glass of lemonade on a hot summer day, Sandra's response was positively refreshing!

When asked about the Duterte administration's Build Build Build program, Sandra took a moment to compose herself before saying, "Actually I studied so much about this Q and A but this is something I don’t know much about. But at least I’m here trying to answer the question. Thank you."

In an Instagram post Tuesday, Sandra said that she didn't expect the people's appreciation for her honesty.

"I was actually terrified to look at my phone after what happened last Sunday night," she shared. "I cannot believe the amount of support and understanding each and one of you has showed me the past hard days and I am so grateful for it."

In a video posted on Facebook, Sandra said that her initial response to being called for the Q&A was excitement. "I was the first one...I felt ready, I was confident that everything I studied would show. But when I heard my question, I was terrified," she said.

It wasn't the question, but the fact that she was letting her fans, friends, and family down that scared her, Sandra explained.

If the judge had explained what it was, she said she would have said: "Of course! A big yes, a big, big yes!"

"I would tell him we need more infrastructure, yes, it's about time!" Sandra added, "If that's going to improve [the country] and give more jobs to us, go!"

The fact that it didn't go that way now feels like a blessing in disguise for Sandra, because she gave the Build Build Build program a free promotion!

But aside from knowing what Build Build Build is, Sandra shared that the lesson she really learned is that it's okay to make mistakes. "It's okay to not know everything and it's okay when you have a hard time and you fail... you will always have a lesson to learn after that failure and it's going to make you come back stronger and wiser," she said.

"There's nothing to be ashamed about it," she added.

On Facebook meanwhile, the chairperson of the Build Build Build committee in the DPWH Anna Mae Lamentillo apologized to Sandra and vowed to work harder so more people will know more about the program.
