Julie Anne San Jose on having a 'marrying age': 'Walang time frame for me'
Asia's Pop Sweetheart Julie Anne San Jose turned another year older this month and with a boyfriend of two years — that's kapuso actor Benjamin Alves — it's inevitable to get asked about her marrying age.
It's exactly what happened during Thursday's press conference, with reporters asking about her and Benjamin Alves' marriage plans.
"Malayo pa, hindi ko po alam. Gusto ko po munang mag-focus sa work ko. Gusto ko po magexplore," Julie answered.
For the Kapuso actor, marrying has no "time frame," she said what's important is that both parties are happy.
"Wala po kasing time frame for me like hindi ko po masasabi. Kasi when you're with someone, as long as you are both happy, [have a] deep understanding; 'yon maiintindihan niya naman po whatever comes, or whatever you encounter. It's normal naman sa relationship [na] wala po talaga siyang time frame."
Julie said having a marrying age will only lead to expectations, which she said isn't good for a relationship.
"Wala talagang ideal age. Kumabaga pag may ideal ka, may expectations ka [na agad]. Kumabaga, [may] 'dapat ganito dapat ganyan' [ka na]. Di mo mahal 'yong isang tao because of who he is, which is hindi talaga siya maganda," Julie explained.
When asked if her parents have rules or restrictions when it comes to her relationship, she promptly answered, "Wala naman po."
She said her parents approve of Benjamin. "Yes po, as long as hindi ko pinapabayaan sarili ko na pinagbubuti ko naman 'yung work ko, yeah." — LA, GMA News
