World’s most expensive champagne is now available in Metro Manila

In case you’re feeling absolutely festive and want to party large for a wonderful year you've had by drinking like David Beckham, George Clooney, and Kim Kardashian: Armand de Brignac, their champagne of choice, incidentally touted as most expensive in the world, and is owned by Jay-Z no less, is now available in Metro Manila.

At the Cove Manila, Okada Manila’s sprawling indoor beach club and night club to be specific, where a 750ml bottle of its Brut Gold cuvée — good for 5 to 6 flutes — fetches for P45,000.

Armand de Brignac has five Champagne varieties. Apart from the aforementioned Brut Gold, there is also the Rose, the Demi-Sec, Blanc de Blancs, and Blanc de Noirs.

Like most establishments, Cove Manila doesn't serve champagne by the glass, not especially with the Armand de Brignac. So it's 45k or null a pop.

Trivia: After the successful coronation night in January, Miss Universe had its after-party at the Cove Manila, where the made-to-order 30-liter Brut Gold Midas was served. In case you're interested, that 30-liter bottle comes with a whopping P7.5 Million price tag.

Why so expensive, you may ask? Armand de Brignac enjoys a meticulous winemaking process. Only 18 people touch a bottle – from the pressing of the fruit to the champagne’s departure from France, to the finished each bottle receives.

"We like to take time and nurture our champagne," begins Sebastien Besson, CEO of Armand de Brignac, who recently flew to Manila for the official uncorking of the partnership with Cove Manila. "We have a long-term generational objective in everything we do."

Armand de Brignac by 13th generation winemakers in France, so each sip of their champagne brings a long-storied tradition that should make parties a little more luxurious.

Wild no? For anybody looking to party big, you know where to go, and more importantly, what to order. — LA, GMA News
