How does Meghan Markle know 'salamat po'? The answer involves adobo

Meghan is a proud California girl and when you live in the state where most Filipino immigrants live, you're exposed to the culture, the language...even the food.

In an article she penned for Today in 2012, Meghan included Chicken Adobo as one of her healthy food ideas.

"I enjoy making slow-cooked food on Sundays, like Filipino-style chicken adobo. It's so easy—combine garlic, soy (or Bragg Liquid Aminos), vinegar, maybe some lemon and let the chicken swim in that sauce until it falls off the bone in a Crock Pot," she wrote.
