WATCH: Gary V. assures fans he is ‘a-okay’

Paring a baseball cap with his hospital gown, Gary V appeared to be in good health and looking cheery in the video posted to Instagram Tuesday. He assured fans that he is “a-okay.”

“I’m still in the hospital pa rin. I am recuperating. I did have a major bypass but I’m getting better day by day," he continued.

Mr. Pure Energy underwent surgery on Sunday, after feeling a tightening of the chest, during his dance performance with his son Gabriel at his 35th show business anniversary celebration. His doctors said his heart was in excellent condition, save for one artery that needed immediate attention.

Post-surgery, Gary said his doctors said they were very happy with how everything turned out. “My heart is in very good condition, dun lang sa isang part na medyo delikado talaga. But I’m here. I’m okay. I love you all, and I’m thankful that God has given me so many people that have shared their love with me.”

In the caption, Gary said he still had some way to go until he is in tip-top shape, and thanked everybody.
