6 PHL companies among 'World's Best Employers'

Six Filipino companies joined Forbes Magazine's Global 2000: World's Best Employers or  the list of employers that were given good reviews by their employees.

The Philippine companies included in the list are:

  • Ayala Corp (No. 18)
  • BDO Unibank Inc. (No. 23)
  • Metrobank (No. 69)

BDO Unibank, the banking arm of tycoon Henry Sy's SM Investments Corp., landed the 23rd spot as one of the front-running regional banking firms that made the list, according to a report on Forbes' website posted Tuesday.

Employees from around the world were asked to rate their employer, whether they would recommend their employer to friends or family members, and identify the companies they admire.

The first in the list is computer service company and Google-parent, Alphabet, which is ranked third among top regarded companies with sales of up to $89.92 billion.

Forbes said employees of the computer services giant cited their approval for its image, working conditions and diversity.

Completing the top ten list are: Microsoft, Japa Exchange Group, Apple, Noble Energy, Daimler, Wiliams, IBM, Investor AB, and LG Corp.

The list is based on  Forbes’ 2017 Global 2000 rankings of companies from 58 countries. — BAP, GMA News
