Megaworld to build Makati-inspired business district in Cavite

Property developer Megaworld Corp. said on Monday it plans to build a 35-hectare "Makati-inspired" business district inside its township in Cavite.

The Maple Grove Commercial District will sell 363 prime lots to companies and businesses. The development in General Trias, Cavite, is based on the masterplan for the Makati Central Business District.

"Within the Maple Grove Commercial District, we are creating sub-districts that lead to a six-lane main avenue," Megaworld vice president for sales and marketing Rachelle Peñaflorida said in a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange.

The commercial lots will range from 360 square meters to 1,008 sqm. The buildings should have rooftop, vertical, and indoor gardens, as well as green porches and lawns. The Maple Grove is scheduled to be completed in 2022.

"Lot owners are expected to construct their buildings within five years from turnover ... Sales for commercial lots are expected reach P9 billion," Megaworld said. — VDS, GMA News
