LTFRB accredits MiCab fifth TNC in 2018

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Monday accredited ride-hailing company MiCab Systems Corp., the fifth transport network company (TNC) accredited this year.

Micab was accredited by the LTFRB as a TNC for two years starting on Monday, April 30, under the Accreditation Number 2018-TNC-005.

The accreditation was signed by LTFRB Chairman Martin Delgra III, LTFRB Board Members Aileen Lizada and Ronaldo Corpus, and attested by Executive Director Samuel Jardin. A copy of which was sent to reporters via Viber.

"MiCab — Is the only taxi booking app in the Philippines that is available in five key cities: Cebu, Bacolod, Baguio, Iloilo, and Metro Manila," a profile of the mobile application read.

According to the company, MiCab will offer zero booking fees and no surge prices as it currently has over 10,000 cabs across the country in its portfolio.

MiCab is the fifth TNC to be accredited by the LTFRB this year, following Ipara Technologies and Solutions Inc., Golag Inc., Hirna Mobility Solutions Inc., and Hype Transport Systems Inc. —NB, GMA News
