Gasoline, diesel, kerosene prices to be hiked for 7th consecutive week

Pump prices of petroleum products will be hiked for the seventh consecutive week on Tuesday.

In separate advisories on Monday, Flying V, Petron Corp., Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., and SEAOIL Philippines Inc. said they will increase prices per liter of gasoline by P0.40 per, diesel by P0.20, and kerosene by P0.10.

The changes will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, September 25.

Petro Gazz, TOTAL Philippines Inc., PTT Petroleum Philippines Inc., Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc., and Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc., are implementing similar price adjustments but not for kerosene which they don’t carry.

“This is due to the changes in the international oil market,” according to Unioil.

Other firms have yet to announce any price adjustment.

Last week, gasoline prices were increased by P0.50, diesel by P0.15, and kerosene by P0.20.

Year-to-date, prices have already increased by P11.97 for gasoline, P11.95 for diesel, and P11.46 for kerosene, not including this week’s adjustments.

Data from the Department of Energy showed prices of gasoline currently range from P51.15 to P64.95, diesel from P44.10 to P53.35, and kerosene from P48.57 to P58.70. — RSJ/VDS, GMA News
