DTI releases latest SRP of basic, prime commodities

The Department of Trade and Industry on Saturday released the latest suggested retail prices (SRPs) of basic and prime commodities as of August 6.

The prices of several basic commodities have gone up by P0.40 to P1 in the latest SRP of the DTI, a report on Balitanghali said.

As the so-called "Ber months" kicked in, the DTI said that Noche Buena items and other consumer goods won't be subjected to price hikes during the Christmas season.

The Trade department also expanded the SRPs, which included premium brands to inform consumers of other existing brands. —Ted Cordero/LBG, GMA News
