Top taxpayers of 2014: Rebisco's Ng, Manny Pacquiao and Kris Aquino

Business tycoon Jacinto L. Ng, boxing icon Manny Pacquiao, actress and talk show host Kris Aquino, and San Miguel Corp. President and COO Ramon Ang are among the country's top individual taxpayers  for the tax year 2014.

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has released the top 500 taxpayers in the country, based on regular income tax payments on record as of Nov. 10, 2015.

Ng overtook Pacquiao as top individual tax payer of 2013. The founder of Republic Biscuit Corp. paid the BIR more than P208 million, while Pacquiao settled 2014 tax dues of over P210 million.

Vivian Que Azcona, owner of drugstore chain Mercury Drug, is the third biggest tax payer at more than P153 million. She was the top tax payer on the BIR list in 2012, when she settled her dues of over P131 million.

Presidential sister Kris Aquino parted with more than P54 million to cover her income tax. She is the 6th largest on the BIR list for 2014.
