Passenger hurt in LRT-1 accident

A passenger was hurt after getting stuck in the train door at the Light Rail Transit 1 on Monday morning.

A report on Unang Balita said Julieto Eco, 48, of Tanza, Cavite was entering a train at the Gil Puyat Station when the door suddenly closed.

Half of Eco's body was exposed as the train moved. He was able to shout for help and a security guard was able to signal the train operator to stop, but suffered multiple injuries in the body and face.

The passenger was brought to the Adventist Medical Center.

Investigations are ongoing and the police are coordinating with the LRT 1 management. —ALG, GMA News
