Masculados member nabbed for alleged possession of illegal drugs

A member of the Masculados all-male entertainment group was arrested early Friday morning for alleged possession of shabu in Taguig City, Super Radyo's Luisito Santos reported.

The police arrested Robin Robel, 37, from Quezon City and his companion, Rodel Isaac.

Taguig City Police Senior Superintendent Alexander Santos said Maharlika Police Station 2 personnel were conducting an anti-criminality law enforcement operation when they noticed that the hazard lights of a car that was parked along MLQ Avenue in Barangay New Lower Bicutan were on.

The police approached the driver, who introduced himself as an artist.

Thy then frisked Robel and found two plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 24 grams.

The suspects declined to give a statement.

Meanwhile, Robel and his companion are in police custody and could be facing charges related to violations of the provisions under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. —BAP/KG, GMA News
