Another employee of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) critically injured in the Manila Pavilion Hotel and Casino fire died early Wednesday.

A Super Radyo dzBB report said PAGCOR identified the victim as Jennelyn Figueroa, 28, internal security staff of the agency at the hotel hit by fire on Sunday morning.

Figueroa's death brought the total number of fatalities from the hotel fire to six.

The five other fatalities were PAGCOR employees Billy de Castro, Edilberto Braga Evangelista, Marilyn Omadto, John Mark Sabido and Joe Cris Sabido.

Figueroa was initially reported as dead, but the Manila Doctor's Hospital clarified on Sunday that they were able to revive the victim.

Figueroa, however, eventually expired at the Manila Doctor's Hospital.

The agency has pledged financial support the families of its employees who perished in the fire.

Several other people, including hotel employees and guests, were injured in the fire that lasted for nearly 24 hours.

Investigators from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) are expected to return to the hotel to continue the investigations into the incident. —report from Divine Reyes/ALG, GMA News
