Duterte: Joma Sison has colon cancer

President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday revealed that Communist Party of the Philippines founding chairman Jose Maria Sison is sick with colon cancer.

Duterte had been saying that Sison was ill.

He even said that the chief political consultant was so sick that he could come home and not be arrested.

"Ikaw Sison, 'tang... Mag-uminom ka ng Tang orange. Matanda ka na," Duterte said.

"Sison is sick. May colon cancer," he added.

Sison has been residing in Utrecht in The Netherlands - where he is seeking asylum as a political refugee - since 1987. -NB/KVD, GMA News
