51 motorcycle riding suspects arrested, 12 others killed in over 800 shooting incidents — PNP data


A total of 12 suspects have been killed while 51 others have been nabbed in the more than 800 shooting incidents perpetrated by motorcycle riders nationwide, data from the Philippine National Police (PNP) showed Monday.

The total number of shooting incidents, which took place from October 11, 2017 reached 880, of which 812 were murder cases while the remaining 68 were homicide cases.

A total of 291 cases have been solved and cleared, the PNP said.

Out of these cases, police also recorded 927 victims.

The PNP, meanwhile, said 1,008 motorcycle riding suspects are still at large.

From this number, a total of 358 suspects have been identified while the remaining 650 are yet to be known. — Anna Felicia Bajo/RSJ, GMA News
