Draft Federal Constitution released by the Con-Com

The Consultative Committee to Review the 1987 Constitution has released its Draft Federal Constitution that it has submitted to President Rodrigo Duterte.

The Con-Com said it released the document "so that the debate and deliberation on every Article, every Section, every sentence, and every word can begin," adding that "this is what democracy is all about."

It noted its "important accomplishment" that "the people now have a document they can hold in their hands, read, scrutinize every word, agree or disagree with, analyze and discuss with their families, their friends."
