250k tourists expected in Baguio City during Holy Week break

Some 250,000 tourists are expected to flock to Baguio City this coming Holy Week, the city's tourism office said.

 

The city's cool air - about 14 degrees Celsius so far this week - is one of its main attractions, GMA Dagupan reported Thursday.

 

"Almost fully booked ang mga hotels na ngayon pero may iba pa namang pwede," said city tourism officer Benny Alhambra.

 

On the other hand, the city tourism office allows some visitors to set up tents in some parks such as Burnham Park, Teacher's Camp and Camp John Hay.

 

Some families, including those from Rizal province, have already set up tents at Burnham Park.

 

"Pagkagising mo, ... agad na nature ang makikita, di gaya ng hotels," said Federico Bisita.  — Joel Locsin/ELR, GMA News
