Incoming President Rodrigo Duterte was found guilty of violating the Magna Carta of Women when he shared a "rape joke" during one of his campaign sorties.

The Commission on Human Rights said Duterte's words and actions were discriminatory of women when he made a passing joke about an Australian lay missionary who was gang raped and killed by prisoners at a Davao City jail in 1989.

Duterte's statement “breaches to fundamental human rights against gender-based discrimination and violence,” CHR chairperson Chito Gascon said.
